How do you play Michigan Daily 4?
Michigan Daily 4 is a lottery that follows the 'Pick 4' format found in a lot of other states. Players must select four numbers from 0 to 9 (duplicates are allowed!) as well as a play type, which sets the conditions for their win. Generally, players win by matching their chosen numbers with the four drawn numbers, but this depends on their play type! Check the
How to Play page for more details.
What time are the Daily 4 drawings?
Michigan Lottery holds the Daily 4 drawings twice, well, daily. The Midday draw starts at 12:59 PM, and the Evening draw is at 7:29 PM.
When do ticket sales close for a specific drawing?
You can buy tickets for the next upcoming Midday drawing up until 12:49 PM, and the cutoff for the Evening draw is 7:08 PM. Tickets purchased after these deadlines but before the imminent drawing will be eligible for the following draw, not the upcoming one.
What are the different Daily 4 play types?
Daily 4 has 5 main play types to bet on. These are: Straight, Box, Two-Way, Wheel, and 1-Off. How exactly each of these works is explained in detail on our
Ways to Play page.
Are there any add-ons for Michigan Daily 4?
No: unlike many other Pick 4-style games, Michigan's Daily 4 does not feature any paid mini-games or add-ons.
How much does a Daily 4 ticket cost?
For all play types except Wheel, tickets cost $1, and there is no option to wager more or less on your bet. Wheel plays cost either $4, $6, $12, or $24, depending on how many different combinations you can make with your chosen numbers. You can find out more about this on our
Ways to Play page.
What are the prizes in Daily 4?
The top prize is a cool $5,000, which you can win with a $1 Straight ticket if you manage to match all the numbers in drawn-order. Of course, there are lots of other ways to win. Head to our
Odds and Prizes page, where you can check a table displaying all the available prizes.
What are the odds of winning Daily 4?
This depends entirely on the type of bet you've made! For example though, winning the top prize of $5,000 on a $1 ticket has odds of 1 in 10,000, which is pretty darn good as lotteries go. You can check the rest of the odds on our
Odds and Prizes page.
Can I enter my numbers in advance?
Yes – you can enter your Daily 4 ticket (numbers + play type) in up to 60 consecutive drawings. This is done using the 'Multiple Draw Wagers' section on your playslip.
Is there an age limit for playing Daily 4?
Yes – you must be at least 18 to play any lottery draw game in Michigan, including Daily 4.
I've won! How do I claim my winnings?
Prizes with a value under $600 can be redeemed at any Michigan Lottery authorized retailer. If you've won more than $600 (nice going!), you can make your claim at one of the Michigan Lottery claims centers, or by mail. We go into more detail on claims at the foot of our Odds and Prizes page.
How long do I have in which to claim my prize?
Michigan Lottery tickets expire one year following the date of the winning draw. After this time has elapsed, the ticket is considered expired, and cannot be redeemed. Unclaimed winnings are re-used by the lottery operator, or diverted to good causes within the state.
